Damn I wish I could do this for Paradigms... but you at least have art to offer. I don't have that. (Trust me... me trying to draw stuff for people would be a punishment, not a reward.) Oh well......... maybe someday. Someday my Myranda will be as popular as your Hawke... or *SoniaCarreras's TMM character... or *aimo's Lady Aeducan!
You can always offer points and/or premium memberships! I spent over $50 on points and memberships for my contest in addition to the art. It was worth it and I plan to hold another contest when I finish the story.
I'd never really wanted to spend money on points--I have this thing about spending money on something I can't actually touch--but as you say, it would be worth it. I'm close to the end... maybe I should wait until I finish. It is a thought; thanks, Erin!
In general, I agree with you; I would never spend money on those silly FB games. However, I use the points to show Deviants support and to commission artwork which, while I can't actually touch it, is something real. Some more thoughts on getting your characters and story better known:
1) Is your original character distinct? Think of the famous Hawke's and wardens around dA: All have characteristics that make them unique, often both physically and personality-wise. (Btw, I'm by no means saying that your characters aren't - I have no idea. Sadly, I've not had time for reading fiction these past months. )
2) Buy or art trade for work of your characters and then submit the artwork to lots of groups over a period of several months. You can get some really nice work for only $10 and some artists also take points.
Hm. Ok. When I get some money back into my account, that will be something to think about. And I'll get money for my birthday, too.
Do you have any artists that you like? I know ~Vela-S (who did the painting from which I take my icon. Love that woman!), and I've discovered a couple more, but are there any you're particularly fond of? Thanks for all the info... I really appreciate it!

I have not commissioned ~raspberryMCMLXXXIV yet but I plan to as their work is gorgeous and affordably priced! [link]

Thanks so much for these! I'll keep them in mind!
Happy to help, and thank you for referring me to ~Vela-S!
I truly hope you like it since I get nervous working on other's OCs. I try to take good care of them and do them justice.
